Pimsleur course

I bought the Pimsleur Hindi course and I'm not impressed so far. I suppose it can be an effective drill but it makes feel like they think I'm an idiot because they teach me long words one syllable at a time and tell me so many times that I should listen, repeat and try to imitate the pronounciation of the native speaker. Really, I got that the first time...
There is too much English talking in it and after a while I lost my brain activity and when the English speaker told me to say Please listen, I dutifully repeated, Please listen. I suppose it may be different for English speakers but both are non-native languages for me so I've done a lot of drills in English too back in my day.

But I'm happy that I understood some of the Hindi material without being taught.
